About The Tournament

The Porter Cup is one of the oldest rugby tournaments in the USA and is named after the original scrumhalf and Captain for old Richmond RFC, Robert Fulton "Steamboat" Porter. The rugby is top notch and the social in Shockoe Bottom is legendary.

The 2011 Porter Cup will be held on Aug 27th and 28th. Please email the Richmond Lion's match secretary if your team would like to participate. We cap the field at 8 teams so make sure to let us know ASAP.
